Priv.-Doz. Dr. med. Andreas Wolter, PhD, FEBOPRAS is a German and European board-certified plastic and aesthetic surgeon and leading consultant at the Department of Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery, Sana Hospital Düsseldorf-Gerresheim, Germany. He serves as head of the TRANS*Gender Center Düsseldorf and leads specialized programs in postbariatric body contouring and liposuction.

Dr. Wolter’s clinical and academic focus centers on advanced breast surgery, encompassing aesthetic, reconstructive, and gender-affirming procedures. His expertise includes microsurgical breast reconstruction (e.g., DIEP flap), aesthetic breast surgery, postbariatric body contouring, liposuction, complex revisional surgery, and particularly innovative techniques in gender-affirming chest surgery. He has made significant contributions to the development of surgical algorithms, complication prevention strategies, and outcome optimization in modern breast surgery.

He was awarded the venia legendi (habilitation) at Witten/Herdecke University for his research on optimizing plastic surgical techniques and complication management in mammary surgery. Dr. Wolter is an active researcher and widely published author in high-impact journals, a frequent invited speaker at international conferences, and a recipient of multiple national and international scientific awards.

In addition, he is a Fellow of the European Board of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery (FEBOPRAS) and an engaged member of leading professional societies, contributing to guideline development and academic education in plastic surgery.
